BC discusses that refinding the U. z. quarry required realizing that a photograph of the North Horn with the location of the quarry indicated by an arrow had been reversed, and flipping it solving the problem. Here is the panorama shot in Gilmore 1946.

Below is a photograph of the North Horn taken on 6/25/78 (by Mike Brett-Surman), I am on the right, Bakker in the middle. Looking to the north, the afternoon sun is to the left. The correspondence of the backgrounds in the two images shows that the old Gilmore pic is oriented correctly.
